Criss cross the ribbon and work towards the top of the eyelets. When you gave reached the top of the corset, cut off any additional length of lacing to finish.

It is best you store your corset in a sealed bag and away from direct sunlight, Steel boned corset are heavy garments so lying them down in a draw is usually best. Hanging can add stress to certain points on the garments which can lead them to develop weaknesses

3.How to reduce my waist?
Steel boned corsets will pull your waist in by 4-5”. Do not try this sort of waist reduction immediately if you are new to corsets. Best practise is to build this levels of tension up slowly. There is a possibility that you will injure yourself if you are not sensible with this process. The tensions running through a corset are immense and need to be treated with respect.

4.How to gauge if your corset is too long?
If you have received your corset and suspect it may be too long then you can conduct the sitting test. Simply sit down in your corset and if the garment digs into your legs or armpits it is best to exchange the corset for a shorter design.

5.How to gauge if your corset is too large?
If you have received your corset and are concerned that a coming down a size may result in a better fit then there is a simple way to be sure.

There should be a 2-3” gap between the 2 corset panels meeting at the back of the garment. If the gap is smaller than this or fully closed around any region then you would benefit from going down a size.

6.How to gauge if your corset is too small?
If you have received your new corset and are worried that it may be too small there is an easy method to confirm or disprove your suspicions. When the corset is tensioned you can look at the lacing at the back for reference. If the modesty panel is not completely covering you back then it will be advisable to return the item for the next size up.

7.How long should you wear corsets for without removing?
This all depends on experience and tension. Corsets are extremely robust garments and can cause injury if you are not sensible about the tension and period of time you will be wearing them for. We would not recommend wearing them for more than 10 hours at once.

If you are new to corsets then try to gradually increase the level of tension running through your corset to avoid damage to the garment or injury to yourself.

8.How to choose a bridal corset?
Because wedding dresses often have low cut backs are made from sheer materials we tend to find brides gravitate towards steel boned underbusts. These corsets will pull the waist in and are easy to conceal underneath your bridal dress.

Underbust corsets are less hot and heavy than overbusts and are much easier to sit down in. These corsets will still pull your waist in by 4-5”.

9.How to attach suspender clips?
To attached a suspender clip to your steel boned corset gently push the metal clip on the garter belt through the one of the 6 satin tape loops on the bottom side of the corset.

10.How to tension your corset?
Corsets usually need to be tensioned in sections. If you pull the lacing at the top or bottom of the corset to make sure it is tensioned correctly then the slack will be concentrated in the centre of the garment. From here you can easily tension this waist region giving a unformed and tight fit to the corset.

11.How put your corset by yourself?
This can be a difficult task to undertake by yourself if it is your first time. The steel boned corsets have lacing that meets at the centre. It is designed with enough length so that you can tension the corset yourself by pulling the cord out away from your sides.

The lacing is designed to be easy to pull through the grommets. If it is your first time see if you can get a friend to help tension the garment.

12.How old should you be before wearing corsets tightly?
We do not recommend wearing steel boned corsets with any degree of tension if you are under 18, If you are 18-25 and considering waist training we recommend you consult a medical expert. Waist training can permanently alter the shape of your body which can have side affects. These risks are exaggerated for people who’s bodies are still developing.

13.How to measure your waist?
To measure your waist you will need a tailors measuring tape. Simply measure your waist above your hips. Measuring around the belly button area is the best guide to find your waist.
